Casino Royale

Women want him, men want to be him.  Who?  Bond, James Bond of course.  Hitting the silver screen this November, Casino Royale is the 21st film in what has to be, the most lucrative film franchise in history.  And just like all those famous combinations such as vodka & Martini, Bond and Aston Martin is just what you'd expect.  This time, however, there is a slight difference......

You see all of Bond's other outings with the marque has been with an existing model.  The DB5 was the original example of product placement, and is often referred to as the Most Famous Car in The World.  It has now appeared as the main car in 2 films (Goldfinger and Thunderball), whilst the modern take on 007 has seen it being used as Bond's personal car (Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies and now in Casino Royale).  Then George Lazenby piloted the original DBS in On Her Majestys Secret Service, Timothy Dalton used a V8 Coupe and Volante in The Living Daylights, whilst we saw Pierce Brosnan deftly handle the Vanquish in Die Another Day.

But this time, a new Bond (Daniel Craig) has warranted a brand new car.....the new V12-powered Aston Martin DBS.  At this early stage, no real details have been released about the car, although it is clearly based around the DB9's architecture.  Styled by Marek Reichman, the DBS encapsulates the essence of this new, grittier, harder-edged Bond.  It provides a link between the elegance of the DB9 and the raw agression of the DBR9 race cars.

In true James Bond style, specific details remain Top Secret, however we will keep you all up to date with information as we get it.
