Austin Boyle

After graduating with an honours degree in law, Austin Boyle was recruited by Deutsche Bank as an equities analyst. After two years he transitioned to equity sales and spent the next ten years in that role at several top global investment banks. After a break spent globetrotting, he was recruited by Paul Spires, Sales Director at HWM, and a long standing friend.

What is your favourite Aston Martin and why?

Vanquish S – the most charismatic modern Aston. The ultimate combination of drama and excitement.

How long have you been with the marque?

I first worked for Aston Martin as a young man in my university days, 18 years ago. I subsequently was involved in several Aston Martin racing projects and finally came to work full time at HWM after a career in finance.

What interests do you have away from HWM Aston Martin?

I am an avid motorsport enthusiast, both as a spectator and participant; I have travelled extensively, including multi-year trips to Africa and Asia; I regularly take part in cycling road-races and love sailing (but only in warm waters!)

What would you say is your greatest achievement?

Completing my first ever lap of a racing circuit (Snetterton) in the pouring rain, and not having a shunt!

In your opinion, who is the greatest racing driver of all time and why?

Ayrton Senna – leaving aside his technical skill, bravery and racing intellect, his relationship with his car and the track bordered on the spiritual.

What was your greatest drive?

Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit, chasing a British Touring Car whilst driving a road legal sports car.
