The new Vanquish is a conqueror for the ages. Engaging yet exhilarating dynamics come together to usher in a revolution of refinement and ferocity.
Designed for peak performance, the glorious new 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine generates 835PS and 1000Nm of torque, reaching a top speed of 214 mph (345 km/h) and accelerating from 0 to 62mph in 3.3 seconds. Engineered to be stronger yet lighter with a reinforced cylinder block, reprofiled camshafts, strategically repositioned spark plugs and optimised intake and exhaust ports, the evolutionary engine has been crafted for ultimate exhilaration.
Power from the V12 is fed through the renowned ZF 8-speed automatic transmission paired with an Electronic Rear Differential. Through a blend of torque tuning and transmission calibration, Vanquish achieves a balance that makes it effortlessly usable for daily driving. This combination enables smooth power delivery and responsive performance, whether navigating city streets or open highways.
Vanquish uses a rear electronic differential, a first for its V12 platform, managing torque across the rear axle. Its carbon fibre prop shaft handles high torque, transferring power from the transmission to the e-diff. The e-diff directs power across the rear axle, switching from open to locked in just 135 milliseconds, it boasts cornering agility and preeminent control in oversteer and high-speed lane changes.
Vanquish is equipped with stiffer cross-members, undertrays, rear bulkhead and a lateral transmission damper, designed to enhance control over the forces generated by lateral motion between the drivetrain and body structure during dynamic driving. By minimising this movement, stability is significantly improved, resulting in significantly enhanced dynamic behaviour and increased driver confidence.
The latest Bilstein DTX™ damper technology delivers a significant increase in force bandwidth between drive modes over the outgoing car. This force provides greater refinement and control across the settings. With bespoke calibration, Vanquish handles bumps and slopes effortlessly. Increased stiffness and a longer wheelbase creates robust chassis; optimal suspension stiffness minimises unwanted road feedback.
Vanquish's bonded aluminium body dictates exceptional lateral and horizontal stiffness, enhancing handling precision. An engine cross brace improves torsional rigidity and lateral stiffness between front suspension towers. With double wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension, it achieves optimal control.
Standard Carbon Ceramic Brakes (CCB) feature 410mm front and 360mm discs, enhancing braking performance while cutting unsprung mass by 27 kg versus cast iron counterparts. Brembo manufactured brake calipers feature an aluminium, monobloc construction for maximum brake stiffness, ensuring a consistent brake pedal feel. The front brake calipers are six-piston and rear brake calipers are four-piston.
The CCB system brake pads ensure consistent performance, resisting fade up to 800°C, including noise reduction to ensure quiet operation at all temperatures. Brake cooling is provided from cooling ducts feeding high-pressure from the front bumper to the inner wheel arch. This provides optimum air flow directly to the rear surface brakes with high temperature air expelled through the wheel and wheel arch.
Bespoke Pirelli P Zero Tyres, tailored for Vanquish, ensure top-tier performance and comfort in any condition. Developed in collaboration with Pirelli, these tyres provide exceptional lateral grip and incorporate acoustic foam for significant noise and vibration reduction. Winter tyres are also available.
Building on the DB12 and Vantage, Vanquish gets the latest of our advanced Electronic Stability Program (ESP) system integrating cutting-edge control tech. This unified system merges various vehicle dynamics controls, enhancing the driving experience. Predictive technology refines the driving experience, reducing ESP interventions. It offers four ESP modes (On, Track, Off, Wet), accessible via a console button, with Wet mode linked to drive mode selection.
With tuned body stiffness through meticulous extra bracing, Vanquish gives maximum feedback and dynamism. The longest wheelbase in its category guarantees class leading comfort and stability at high speeds. The cutting-edge ESP system incorporates an industry-leading predictive technology and ensures that every drive is a masterclass in control and agility. The Vanquish is a car you will enjoy pushing to its limits.
Experience unparalleled freedom with 9 levels of adjustable traction control. Starting at TC5 for optimised launches, they can adjust slip precisely during cornering. Dialling down to TC1 improves traction, while TC6 to TC8 enhances drive-off slip. TC Off disables stability interventions, allowing unrestricted performance and full dynamic potential.
With its assertive presence and elegant proportions, the Aston Martin Vanquish seamlessly blends sophistication and power. Each is a uniquely crafted work of art.
Vanquish receives an all-new front bumper, fender and grille design with a self-assured and striking aesthetic. The traditional Aston Martin horizontal vaned grille is ever present and enlarged to offer a 13% increase in surface area over previous generations to aid cooling for the 835PS engine.
Vanquish benefits from an extra 80mm longer wheelbase between the front axle and A-pillar. This extension elongates the front of the car, increasing the ratio of ‘dash to axle’ or the distance from the base of the windscreen to the middle of the front axle, measured when a car is viewed from its side profile. Increasing this dimension lengthens the bonnet endowing Vanquish with an elegant, rakish and luxurious side profile
Purposely carved into the carbon fibre bonnet to aid cooling of the V12 engine, the thermo louvres are a focused example of function meeting technical form. The six louvre gills are inspired directly by the Aston Martin Formula 1 car aerodynamic features
Presenting door handles are fitted to the distinctively Aston Martin flush fit door handles, deploying with a simple press or when the vehicle is opened via the remote key. Swan doors open elegantly, complemented by a prominent and familiar rear wheel arch, emphasising the rear-wheel drive prowess.
The iconic Aston Martin side strake sits purposefully inside a sculpted fender panel. The side strake can be customised within the exterior packs, with a choice between bright chrome contrasting against the gloss black side panel or alternatively gloss black or carbon fibre providing a more discreet character. Like Aston Martins of yesteryear, Vanquish is adorned with a red V12 identifier, a subtle detail with a historic significance.
Frameless door mirrors introduce a smaller, sleeker design with less intrusion to forward vision and also improving the aerodynamic profile of Vanquish.
