A celebration event was hosted by the Friends of Hanworth Park House to raise awareness of the attempts to protect and refurbish the building. Amongst many other uses over the years, this was the home of Aston Martin from 1947 to 1964. It is particularly dear to HWM as this was the place that Mike Harting our Chairman worked before joining us in 1958. Mike was global sales manager for Aston Martin during the 1950’s.
The factory was very close to our dealership in those days so it is where our very strong relationship with Aston Martin began.
We were very excited to hear that there were plans to restore this beautiful building with a museum and visitor centre. HWM and Aston Martin are taking a keen interest in the project and look forward to seeing it progress.
